Bihar Caustic reports results for Q3 FY 2005-06

• Net sales at Rs. 3139.42 lakh, up 8.30 per cent
• Net profit at Rs. 669.25 lakh, up 5.8 per cent

Bihar Caustic and Chemicals Limited, a subsidiary of Hindalco has reported results for the quarter ending December 2005. The company has achieved net sales of Rs. 3139.42 lakh, an increase of 8.30 per cent, vis-à-vis Rs. 2898.49 lakh attained in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Its net profit (after deferred tax) rose by 5.8 per cent at Rs. 669.25 lakh as against Rs. 632.62 lakh for the corresponding quarter last year.

Bihar Caustic and Chemicals produces caustic soda, liquid chlorine, hydrochloric acid and sodium hypo chlorite used mainly in the aluminium, paper and steel sectors and for water treatment plants.
