Hindalco-Novelis add Aleris to the portfolio in 2020
Novelis Inc, Hindalco Industries Ltd's wholly-owned subsidiary, completes the acquisition of the US-based rolled products major, Aleris Corporation. It cements Hindalco's position as world's No.1 aluminium value-added products player.

Birla Carbon acquires Columbian Chemicals Company in 2011
Aditya Birla Group acquires Atlanta-based Columbian Chemicals Company from One Equity Partners. The acquisition raises Birla Carbon's annual production to two million tonnes and catapults the company to become the leading player globally in carbon black.

Hindalco acquires Novelis Inc in 2007
Hindalco acquires Atlanta-based Novelis Inc, the world's leading producer of aluminium rolled products. The deal makes Hindalco the world's largest aluminium rolling company. The acquisition also propels Aditya Birla Group to the elite Fortune 500 list of global companies.
