The company’s plant in Goettingen, Germany, is a leader in aluminium surface finishing. It also hosts a Research & Innovation Centre specialising in surface treatment and coating.

The plant in Nachterstedt, Germany, is the world’s largest aluminium recycling centre, producing up to 400,000 metric tons of aluminium sheet ingots from recycled material annually. The plant also manufactures rolled aluminium products using the latest cold rolling technology, a state-of-the-art laser workshop and continuous annealing and finishing lines.

Another plant located at Alunorf in Neuss, Germany, near Düsseldorf, is the world’s largest aluminium rolling and casting facility. It is operated as a joint venture between Novelis and Norsk Hydro.
