Founded in 2011, Aditya Birla Renewables Limited (ABRL) has built a portfolio of ~2 gigawatts (including projects in the pipeline) in several states of India. It is powering ahead in an ambitious journey to achieve 4.5 GWp in installed capacity by FY2026.

In 2011, the company was among India’s first renewable energy companies to answer the call of the Jawaharlal Nehru Solar Mission, which flagged off the country’s green energy journey. It supports a host of national commitments, including India’s COP26 promise to get half its energy from renewable sources by 2030. By enabling governments and businesses to reach for a sustainable, low-carbon future, Aditya Birla Renewables is helping India fulfil its energy promises to the world.

The company has strong market leadership in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) power segment. Prestigious businesses like Grasim, Hindalco, UltraTech, Century Enka, and others rely on ABRL to establish and run captive renewable power projects.

It is also leading the change towards clean, affordable, and sustainable energy through partnerships with the public sector. Government utilities, including those in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Gujarat, are among the customers.

Aditya Birla Renewables’ expertise spans solar (including floating solar and rooftop) power, wind energy, and hybrid power (solar + wind). The company is looking to expand its portfolio to include battery storage solutions, ‘round-the-clock’ projects, hydrogen and ammonia-based power solutions, and manufacture of solar PV modules.
