It was established in 2006 as a joint venture company between Aditya Birla Group and the Fujian Jingwei Group. In 2008, Aditya Birla Group acquired 100% ownership of the company. BJFCL owns two VSF lines with a total capacity of 85,000TPA and produces 50,000TPA of sodium sulphate as a by-product. With 650 employees, its total turnover is RMB 1.4 billion. BJFCL is a specialty fibre production base with one VSF line that manufactures dope-dyed (black) fibre and another line that manufactures the sustainable Livaeco and coarse denier fibres. BJFCL primarily caters to the domestic markets of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Fujian, Hubei &amp; Henan and exports to Indonesia, Turkey and Bangladesh. Thai Rayon produces a wide range of fibres that have multiple functional benefits such as soft feel, high moisture absorbency, biodegradability, comfort, and fashion. These fibres have various applications in apparel, home textiles, dress material, knitwear, wipes, personal hygiene, and medical usage.Thai Rayon has diversified into a new generation fibre -- Birla Modal, which is widely used in high-end textile fashion products. Thai Rayon also produces anhydrous sodium sulphate as its by-product, mostly used in detergent, pulp, glass, leather, and textile industries.With its five flexible VSF production lines, Thai Rayon caters to the demands of both textile and non-woven applications, producing VSF varieties in the range of 0.8 to 5.0 denier, staple lengths in the range of 32 mm to 101 mm, in bright bleach, semi-dull or full-dull lustre, as well as in chlorine-free and anti-bacterial applications.Thai Rayon also produces about 85,000 tpa of anhydrous sodium sulphate as its by-product, which is widely used in the domestic market by detergent, pulp, glass, leather, and textile industries.Starting with a small capacity of 9,000 tpa, the company has come a long way in achieving a capacity of 140,000 tpa of VSF. Century Enka is the technical fibre business under Century Textile and Industries Limited.Century Enka Limited was incepted in 1965 by Mr. B.K. Birla in collaboration with AKZO Nobel of Netherlands. Over the years, it has emerged a reputed producer of high quality Nylon Tyre Cord Fabric (NTCF) used as reinforcement material in bias tyres and Nylon Filament Yarn (NFY) used mainly by apparel industry.Century Enka is the largest producer of NFY and second largest manufacturer of NTCF in India. Century Enka offers a very broad product basket of NFY comprising of Mono filaments, Mother Yarn, FDY, POY, Draw textured, Dope-dyed yarns, TOW, Draw wound yarns. It also makes customised tyre cord fabric for reinforcement of tyres which are used in motor cycles, scooters, light commercial vehicles (LMVs), heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) and off the road (OTR).Century Enka produces a wide range of high-quality Nylon Processed Yarns for varied application areas. The Nylon industrial yarns are used for a variety of applications including fish-twines, conveyor belts, sports and active wear, intimate and foundation wear, etc.Its brand, Enkalon, stands a testimony to the high quality of material which gives a soft, lustrous and elegant feel to the finished fabric. Aditya Birla Group has a presence in Slovakia through its cellulosic fibre and textiles business, Aditya Birla Yarn.Aditya Birla Yarn’s Spilatex s.r.o. is situated in Slovakia. The facility was incorporated in 2005 as a 100% partnership with the German company Spinnerei Lampertsmühle GmbH. Together with the parent plant, Spilatex, s.r.o. has a capacity of more than 60,000 spindles with specialties in special grey (white), coloured, or highlighted yarn for the textile manufacture of fabrics.

The new, state-of-the-art and world's largest aluminium recycling centre is also located here. The world's most modern recycling plant can produce up to 400,000 tons of aluminium sheet ingots from recycled material.Novelis’ Ohle plant is specialised in the rolling of foil used for various applications. It also produces foil trays for the food industry (OHLER® Packaging Systems), flexible tubes and hoses for the automotive industry (OHLER® Flexible Tubes) and aluminium coil cores.&nbsp;The Voerde facility is a cast house that provides additional casting capacity and primarily supplies rolling ingot and billet to the Koblenz location.&nbsp;Aluminium Norf GmbH is the world’s largest and most technologically advanced aluminium manufacturing facility in the world. Jointly owned by Novelis and Speira, Alunorf casts sheet ingots and rolls semi-finished products that serve a wide range of applications.&nbsp;Aditya Birla Group’s chemical business has a strong presence in Germany through CTP Advanced Materials. Started in Russelsheim, Germany in 1993, CTP GmbH has grown to become a leading curing agent manufacturer in Europe. CTP AM, started in 2005, is a development and marketing company that serves the electrical &amp; composite industry. Products for CTP-AM are manufactured by CTP, which was acquired by Aditya Birla Group in 2013. It is one of the leading technical textile yarn manufacturers in the European Union.&nbsp;Germany is also a strong market for Birla Carbon, the carbon black speciality producer of the Group. The company has an office in Hannover, Germany.&nbsp;India-based Aditya Birla Power Composites Limited (ABPCL) is a joint venture between Aditya Birla Insulators (a unit of Grasim Industries Limited), the 3rd largest global Porcelain Insulator player and German company, Reinhausen Power Composites (a Unit of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH), the 2nd largest Hollow Composite Insulator player globally. The Energy management system is ISO 50001 : 2018 certified. &nbsp;<h3>PT. Elegant Textile Industry</h3>PT. Elegant Textiles marked the Group’s foray into Indonesia in 1973. PTE currently has a production capacity of 158,880 spindles in addition to the latest Vortex spinning technology with 960 MVS Positions. It is one of the largest partners (by volume) for DuPont for aramids in Europe and a Gold partner of Trevira for Trevira CS fibre.
