Birla Jingwei Fibres Company Limited (BJFCL) is Aditya Birla Group’s viscose staple fibre (VSF) manufacturing company located in the Hubei province of central China. It was established in 2006 as a joint venture company between Aditya Birla Group and the Fujian Jingwei Group. In 2008, Aditya Birla Group acquired 100% ownership of the company.

BJFCL owns two VSF lines with a total capacity of 85,000TPA and produces 50,000TPA of sodium sulphate as a by-product. With 650 employees, its total turnover is RMB 1.4 billion.

BJFCL is a specialty fibre production base with one VSF line that manufactures dope-dyed (black) fibre and another line that manufactures the sustainable Livaeco and coarse denier fibres. BJFCL primarily caters to the domestic markets of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Fujian, Hubei & Henan and exports to Indonesia, Turkey and Bangladesh.

BJFCL has established a state-of-the-art Waste Gas Recovery (WGR) system to control sulphur emissions and recover carbon disulphide (CS2) for recycling. The plant uses the latest ETP technology to reduce the chemical oxygen demand (COD) of its effluent discharge to meet the new discharge norms for the Yangtze River region. All its processes meet the EU-BAT norms.
