KK Maheshwari to Stay on at UltraTech

Mumbai: KK Maheshwari has been appointed UltraTech’s first non-executive vice chairman as he retires from the office of the cement major’s managing director in December this year, UltraTech said in a notification to the stock exchange on Monday.

Kailash Chandra Jhanwar, currently the deputy managing director and chief manufacturing officer at UltraTech, will be assuming the role of the company’s MD after Maheshwari steps down.

Through this re-constitution of the board, Maheshwari will join the ranks of other Aditya Birla Group company veterans who have continued to serve the $48-billion group in a non-executive capacity after relinquishing their roles as long-running executive heads.
